This non-poisonous snake is a constrictor, which refers to the way it traps its prey by rolling its body to death and then devouring it. They usually move only when their food is scarce or they feel threatened.
They are mainly found on the ground, but sometimes they climb trees, they can also often be found near water, they are expert swimmers and can remain submerged without breathing for up to 30 minutes.
