Standing majestically in downtown Lhokseumawe, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam Province, Islamic Center / Almarkazul Islami Lhokseumawe brings the feel of the Middle East in the fertile land of Aceh. The establishment of this Islamic Center revived our memories of the glorious history of the Pasai Ocean Kingdom (Samudera Pase), which is recorded in history as the first Islamic empire in Indonesia.
The first stage of the Islamic Center development project begins with building a grand mosque whose structure is so large with its magnificent dome magnificent dome arrangement. The presence of this Islamic Center is not yet complete, but it entirely presents a new spirit for the people of Aceh in general and the people of Lhokseumawe, especially after the earthquake and Tsunami disaster that devastated the area several years ago.
The building with the full name of Islamic Center Lhokseumawe was soaring into the sky. Located in the center of the city, this mosque is the largest mosque in the city of Lhokseumawe.
Established since 2001 ago on an area of 33,748 meters with a building area of 16,475 square meters makes the mosque as the center of attention of residents who visit the city.
During the month of Ramadan, mosques with Middle Eastern ornaments are filled with a super solid religious agenda.
The building of Islamic center is not fully completed yet. Later this Islamic center will be equipped with supporting facilities other than the Great Mosque itself consists of: Multipurpose Building, Pustaka Building, Diniyah / School, Museum & Rumoh Aceh, Mess / Wisma Tamu, Outlets / Food Stalls and Soevenir, and Qur'an Recitation Park (TPA) and the House of the High Priest. This project is so big and requires funds that are not a little fair if the construction also takes a long time. As explained in the official website of the Islamic Center of Lhokseumawe, here are the objectives and functions of the Islamic Center of Lhokseumawe to be achieved and the background of the Islamic Center's development with some editing as necessary.
