Dear Contributors!
Today, we will be starting to monitor the current progress of the weekly & daily contributors to the #photocircle tag. In this way, we are able to have a feel of how much allocation do we need to make for our time & resources when it comes to the support that we shall provide to the participants.
At the beginning of the project, everything seems manageable in terms of keeping up with the curation of daily posts receive through the #photocircle tag. Our work is so much easier back then, we are able to assess the quality & authenticity of the posts or pictures manually. The time that we have is enough compared to the submissions that we are receiving.
For the past few weeks, it seems that the submissions to the daily contests are increasing. Though the growth of posters using the tag is obvious, we don’t have a clear idea as to how much are the numbers. Below are some of the charts that was generated based from the gathered info about the contributors / participants to the tag.

The chart above shows the number of posts received through the Photocircle tag on a daily basis from the past 7 days (30th of June to 6th of July 2018). The latest count of posts was taken on 6th July 2018 having the most submissions of 461 total posts.

Conclusion
What do these numbers mean to us? To begin, we are pleased that our effort of curating & featuring posts is being recognized by the Steemit community that are sharing their photography to our tag. We started the Photocircle project with the goal to increase the retention of users that are contributing / posting their photo / work to the Steemit platform. As the numbers show, we are definitely making a difference on a daily or weekly basis. With the current strength that we have; whether in number of team members operating the project ( &
) or
Steem power of 425sp, it is surprising that we are able to increase the motivation of participants from a dozen to hundreds.
With that in mind, I’m ending this post with a interesting note. What difference could we make if we have more team members & more resources to reach our goal of motivating more Steemit users in using the platform for their daily photo sharing activity.
That sums up the 1st Photocircle Stats for this week. We are of course thankful to the contributors of the tag, the unique individuals who are sharing their work to the curation program.
Stay tuned for the next update!
With appreciation,
Photocircle team
