I recently borrowed a Nikon D5500 to try out. Now I have a problem... I want a new camera. No not the D5500. But after using the d5500 I really want a tilty screen. Jeez a tilty screen would be nice.
As far as the D5500 goes I thought it was okay. Other than the tilt and touch screen I didn't care for it much. I wasn't used to the button layout and the frame rate of the D5500 was painfully slow to me.
Or at least this is what I keep telling myself because I really don't need to spend money on camera equipment right now. Also I feel that I am stuck with indecision because I know that I should be buying lenses instead.
Anyways about the images I used the Nikon with one of those super zoom lenzes, I think it was a Tamron 16-300. I started off by the river after I got off work. The water level was up and covering the path that I usually take but there was a heron on the bank. I didn't stick around long after the heron flew off.
Later on I went to a nearby lake and once I seen the ducklings I had to get closer. I was in a hurry because the light was fading and tripped over some rocks.
It scared the crap out of me because I really didn't want to buy the Nikon at that point. That is the second time I have fallen in that area. Maybe from now on I should take the stairs down to the side of the river.
