With covid lockdowns in full swing Neowise was something I could shoot and not have to interact with anyone or travel outside my allowed area.
Neowise and the Approaching Dawn
The first night I shot Neowise I went into the hills north of the city. I was plagued with clouds and I had to sit most of the night before it began to break. The dawn already making its mark on the night.
I tried to get some sleep in my vehicle and had my camera set up on interval just outside the drivers window. I wasn't worried about other people but there had been some showers so I was careful not to sleep to deep.
Neowise from the Hills near Kamloops
The following night I was close to home. I was in a green belt about 1 km from my house. I was using Photo Pills and Stellarium to help set up the shot.
This is the Peterson Creek Bridge in Kamloops. If you have been through Kamloops you have crossed this ridge. I was lucky and had lady aurora wisp around a little.
