Yesterday I went for a little walk with my camera and I got a few good photos, today I'm posting about one of my favorite birds.
These little guys are really fast, the plant it is sitting on is called wild dagga (dagga means marijuana), one of the favorite plants for these sunbirds.
It was at a park called Intaka Island in Cape Town, a really nice park in an urban area, where you don't even realize you are in the city, except when you look up and the the tall buildings.
I mean how can you not love these little guys, they are stunning to look at!
I also got this photo of an Egyptian goose, it is one of the least favorite birds here in Cape Town, they are almost like a pest here, but I got this photo of a female where the background came out completely black.
I also tried it in black and white, but I'm not sure wich is better between the two.
I am thinking about starting to teach nature photography workshops here in Cape Town, I think I would enjoy teaching other people how to get the best out of their camera and lens!
I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will see you again soon!
