On the first diving day in the Solomon Islands we went to Mirror Pond, known for having a resident salt water crocodile although it hadn't been there in 8 months. To get to the pond you need to swim through a cave, much to our surprise there was a croc hanging out about half way through the cave in a crack. My buddy Matty Smith and I were edging closer and closer until it turned on us and ended up swimming and hiding in between some rocks. Incredibly hard to get a good shot with the mixture of fresh and salt water.
