Today I am interpreting the theme of my favorite hive challenge and I am making up a personal one, kind of a game to keep me busy!
The first shot is my entry for Photo 52, 2020 Challenge, Week Number 13 hosted by .
This weeks theme is zoom all the way in. At the announcement it is described like that:
Make it a macro! Maybe it's a 300mm lens at 300mm. Maybe it's a mobile phone with a zoom to bring closer that small red fox on the trail! Whatever it is, zoom it!
Myself I used (again) my humble 50mm lens. Light, cheap and multi-functional :)
My understanding is that zoom all the way in, could mean fill your frame with your subject, picture one thing with no outside distractions. Under that aspect I think that my little 50mm worked perfectly!
Another title for this kind of images could be look closely, which bring us to my challenge. The concept is to illustrate pictures that are around us every day but we normally do not see. Either because we are in a hurry or just because we don't look at the right place or even the right angle!
That is the general theme but I wanted it to be more specific. So I came up with 5 sub-themes to work on, for 5 days. All 5 together will illustrate the unseen side of my daily walk.
To make it a little more challenging I will take the shots in 5 days in a row, with the same fixed lens (50mm), on the dogs walk that is pretty much the same every day and more or less on the same time!
Do you like it?
You can do it if your city is in lock-down. At least in Greece walking the dog is still permitted and even with a phone's camera can be fun and keep you creative.
The 5 sub-themes that I thought of, are:
- Look closely
- Look up
- Look down
- Change your height
- Go colorblind
Let me know if you like this small game or even better if you played it. It would give me great joy :)
I took those shots yesterday so I have already done the look up theme but I have more posts on the way so I may share the results of my challenge on more than the 5 days frame that I'll be shooting it.
For example yesterday I wrote My Introduction to the Hive Community, check it out if you missed it, you will not have the chance to read so many words in one post from me very often!
Thank you for reading!
Best,
Stefanos.
