I just thought this was so drastic that it would be really neat side by side to share with you all. The big thing is that I actually liked both options so I merged and edited both options.
Which one do you like best?
CYLINDRICAL vs SPHERICAL
Often the projections end up being somewhat the same outcome with cylindrical coming up with slightly taller images... but in this case it was way taller.
There are only 3 panorama projection options in LIGHTROOM and I only use Lightroom to edit pictures I don't have photoshop or any others... i did try a AutoPano software but not having DNG support for panos was a non-starter. I had to have the merged image be DNG/RAW.
14MM PANOS
I haven't done too many panoramas using a 14mm so I'm just now seeing how they interact in Panos... for milky way and star shots the 14mm is pretty handy specially since my SIGMA 14MM is a f/1.8
I know you can't tilt them too much but all in all it's gonna take some practice with the 14mm to see what works best for panos. If you have lots of experience with 14mm panos please feel free to share tips in the comments.

THE SCENE
From my recent trip to the Needles District of Canyonlands.
I'm just now going through the images which includes merging some of the panoramas.
Haven't even gone through and selected my favorite images yet so stay tuned.
