Although I crank through my photos a little faster, I'm liking posting these galleries. It gives me a chance to show off a breadth of different types of photos. The hardest part is choosing the thumbnail. :) One day I'll get past all of these collections and I'll get back to writing stories. I think the little princess needs to continue her adventure soon.
Vending machines in Japan, you can buy just about anything - but mostly, if you're thirsty there's always something around. Coffee, beer, cola...weird corn drinks. Everyone seems to have a machine outside. I wasn't brave enough to try the weird corn drinks....
Channeling my inner vampire again and going out when it's a bit later, you get to see the world in a different light. I loved just standing by an open door and clicking away to see how it'd turn out. There are so many little restaurants, always bustling there was always something to shoot.
Somewhat related: One thing I haven't mentioned about Japan, that I think I took for granted is how safe it is. Canada is safe, and most places you can walk alone at night without much thought. But Japan is on a whole other level. It's insanely safe. We walked around down alleys, in quiet communities etc. and never so much as a hint of a problem.
