Abandoned paper mill
I have been visiting abandoned places with my camera since 1989. I can't tell you how many lost places I've visited. I don't have a database or anything like that. Some very special locations I will probably never forget, like the paper factory in Brandenburg.
Seit 1989 besuche ich verlassene Orte mit meiner Kamera. Ich kann gar nicht sagen wieviele Lost Places ich schon besucht habe. ich habe keine Datenbank oder ähnliches. Einige ganz besondere Locations werde ich wohl nie vergessen, so wie die Papierfabrik in Brandenburg.
The paper mill was built between 1836 and 1838, and production ceased in 1992. Almost all the machines and equipment are still there. Production could theoretically be resumed immediately. Parts of the paper machine date back to 1888.
Gebaut wurde die Papierfabrik von 1836-1838. Im Jahre 1992 wurde die Produktion eingestellt. Fast alle Maschinen und Einrichtungen sind noch vorhanden. Man könnte theoretsich die Produktion sofort wieder aufnehmen. Teile der Papiermaschine stammen aus dem Jahr 1888.
The paper mill is one of the most impressive lost places I have visited so far. The factory has been a technical monument since 2003 and has been looked after by an association since then. With the help of donations, necessary measures are taken to secure and repair it. The factory is used for cultural events and exhibitions, among other things.
Die Papierfabrik ist einer der beeindruckensten Lost Places die ich bisher besucht habe. Die Fabrik ist seit 2003 ein technisches Denkmal und wird seitdem von einem Verein betreut. Mithilfe von Spendengelder werden notwendige Maßnahmen zur Sicherung und Reparaturen vorgenommen. Die Fabrik wird unter Anderem für kulturelle Veranstaltungen und Ausstellungen genutzt.
