A few days ago I wrote about making the choice to be in or out. I ended it with declaring definitively that I am ALL in. I was talking specifically about being an artist. And I meant it. I have the body of work and the daily habits to prove it.
But here’s the thing: I’m not consistently making a living. I’m not fully paying my bills with my photos, my art, my writing, or any of my other creative endeavors. I see other people doing so. Some of them are impossibly talented. But many of them are simply...well...out there. Pushing their mediocre products in impossibly ingenious ways.
Don’t get me wrong; I love what I do. I’d do it for free! Hell, I often do. And that’s never going to change. But if I’m going to have the audacity to say that I’m all in, I really need to be ALL IN! I need to put myself AND my work as far out there as I possibly can. And while I can’t be attached to the results...and I must be grateful for the opportunity and the experience...I also need to set some ridiculously audacious goals and do everything in my power to meet them.
In March I will be focusing my efforts here on Steemit. And why not? I’m going to post here anyway. Even if I wind up being the only upvote on every post. So I have nothing to lose. But just as I wrote a couple of days ago, there’s immense power in declaring your dreams and asking for help in making them a reality.
Since that post, I’ve increased my following. Some awesome people like 
So what’s going to be so audacious about March? Im so glad that you asked...
I will NOT focus on payouts or upvotes or what I get...but rather concentrate solely on what I will give:
- I will create 2 posts per day
- I will follow at least 10 new people per day
- I will do at least 25 upvotes per day
- I will comment on at least 12 unique posts per day (other than my own)
- I will resteem 1 amazing post per day
- I will enter at least one contest per day
- Based on my own wallet, I will run a couple of contests, funds permitting (if anyone wants to help with this, I’d be extremely grateful)
And here are my audacious goals:
- I will reach 1,000 followers by the end of March - nearly doubly what I have now
- I will reach 2,000 posts - again, nearly doubling the current count
- I will increase the accounts I follow to at least 500
- I will pay my rent with SBD
And there you have it. I need as much help and support as you are willing to give me. But that sounds vague, doesn’t it? So let me be audacious about it:
- I need upvotes
- I need followers
- I need resteems
- I need engagement
- I need encouragement
- I need audacious ideas and dares
- I’m sure I’ll need a kick in the ass...or 7
- I need a little help getting started funding contests
- I need whatever it is that you have to offer that I have failed to realize that I need
Maybe I’ll hit all of my milestones. Maybe I won’t. But I’ll damned sure pursue them with gusto. And I’d love some company! If you want to be audacious with me, make your own declarative post and be sure to use #audaciousmarch.
