As per bulletin board at Zoo site, Bondol Eagle is included in Aves class, Order Falconiformes, and Acciptridae Family
Behavior, whirling alone or with friend. Looking for lunch day by relying on sharpness of eyes and hearing.The sharpness of the eye, can see small prey from distance of 100 meters. A wide and round wing that gives skill turns flying between trees.
Food, snakes, rats, water birds, carcasses and fish. Habitats, swamps, rivers, lakes, beaches and steep hills. Distribution, Sumatra Island and Kalimantan (Indonesia), India, South China, to Australia. Its status, protected by Regulation government Indonesia No.7 & 8 of 1999.
