Happy Friday π
The golden light has faded again for today and I've got another batch of photos for you. British people love to talk about the weather, I hate to reinforce that stereotype but cor blimey have we had some cracking days of sunshine. Word on the street is that September is the golden month for Lofoten, I reckon my friends arriving on Sunday will be pleased to hear that.
Today was a mix of π¨πΌβπ»/πΈ/πββοΈ/β° as most of my days here have been.
π¨πΌβπ»Laptop club was minimal but fairly productive. I've now opted for a "no need to rush" approach to finishing this first version.
πΈA bunch of nice shots today. I tried in vein to get a silhouetted "person blocking sun" shot, perhaps the drones dynamic range just can't hack it or the subject wasn't positioned well enough to take up the right amount of the frame. Not sure but had a coupe shots I liked. π€·ββοΈ
πββοΈ / β° Running, movement practise and a mini hike through the local ridge. π
Took the drone out for a another spin around the local area. Clear skies, low hanging cloud cover and dregs of the fading light.
An arctic beach, inviting until you know the water temperature. Still inviting if you've got a decent wetsuit πββοΈ
I keep looking at the closest ridge and thinking it must be possible to get there. There are no trails but this is Norway and with the right to roam you can pretty much go wherever you want if you're respectful. Andreas and I set out to find a way, we didn't quite make it as the light was fading fast, half way was good enough for now.
It's 4 miles to the nearest shop. I don't have a car but I've been cycling a bunch so I guess I'll be alright π
Sunrise in the neighbourhood. The drone also doubles as a scouting tool when google earth doesn't have enough detail. We'll be back to try these ridges tomorrow?
βοΈHave a great weekend
