This is the first of a few sets of pictures from my vacation in Arizona last week! After getting off the plane in Phoenix, my wife and I had some time to kill before the rest of the family got there, so we went and did a nice easy hike around Lookout Mountain near Scottsdale. The area around Phoenix has such a unique terrain and landscape, and while it can't compare to the grandeur of the Rockies or other mountainous areas, it is still a really beautiful and fun area to explore!
This hike was around 2 miles long and only had about 400 feet of elevation, so nothing too strenuous, but there was a still great view of Phoenix from the top! After months of dreary and wet Ohio weather, it was so refreshing to stand on top of a mountain surrounded with warm rocks, sunny skies, and a warm breeze to boot.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the hike! These were all taken with a Fuji X-T20 and an 18-55mm kit lens.
