During my time in Nepal in 2010, I trekked the Annapurna round in the Himalayas – one of the most simultaneously challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.
Towards the end, we took a set of wrong turns that somehow led us to this surreal gate leading to and from nowhere in particular. I often come back to this image and wonder – who built this and why?
Perhaps it's simply a gate between heavenly places...
