Corona spring and May 1st celebrations. Usually May 1st, Vappu in here, is a national holiday and a day of celebration. People go to nice brunches or gather for a picnic outside, and of course get drunk.
May first is by no means a warm summer day in Finland yet, unless it's some weird fluke, but for some reason it's a tradition to spend the day outside. It wasn't actually too bad this time, sunny during day and not too windy, but it was only about 8 degrees Celsius.
I don't know what the city center looked like during the day since I was in the kitchen, but I assume some people were still outside even though it was not recommended to gather anywhere with groups of people.
I did want to go out in the evening to see if there is anything interesting going on, and I'm glad I did go. While it was mostly super quiet outside, there were a few interesting things I saw and captured.
