I was on a boat with my father last Tuesday, travelling on "fleuve Saint-Laurent" in Montreal, when the weather was excellent for photography.
On the right of the first photo you can see Mont Royal, the mountain were I shoot most of my nature photos. Just beside are downtown's high buildings. In the middle is the Jacques-Cartier bridge which connects the city to the island Sainte-Hélène, which is mostly occupied by the amusement park La Ronde, and where festivals are held during most of summer.
Below is Clock Tower, built when people actually benefited from having a big clock on an high-rise building to be able to accurately measure Time. It's in Montreal's old port (Vieux-Port de Montréal).
A cargo ship. We endeavoured not to get in its way.
A military vessel.
The two sides of the bridge. The Molson brewery is visible on the latter.
I used a Sony a77 camera and a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens with a circular polarizing filter (hence the dramatic look of the clouds and waves).
