The Midwest is having the worst Polar Vortex ever. We are looking at wind chills up to -50. It's literally cold as Russia. In fact, Chicago is older than Mt. Everest this winter.
I am watching the temp and it is dropping. It's -7 right now.
This cold is so dangerous I heard the weather people say all it takes is a minute to get frostbite/hypothermia to exposed flesh.
They mail carriers aren't even running ( good call on them)
