Yup, it's just the moon...
You see it every month!
We've had the super moon, the pink moon, blue moon....
And now, this month's is called the flower(?) moon?
Seems it's because the flowers are blooming ~ Spring has sprung!
Anyway, it's been awhile since I posted my feeble attempts to capture the moon... Actually it's been awhile since I attempted to capture the moon!
So, here we go again...
First one, with some atmospheric clouds, for the mood...
The full moon was really bright
It's quite easy to work out the full moons here
Most of the festivals, or auspicious days fall during the full moon
This time, it's the Wesak Day
The birth, enlightenment and death of Gautama Buddha
The clouds cleared away pretty fast
While I was fiddling with some settings...
Clear sky... Bright moon
Nothing much to look at
I much prefer some moody, eerie clouds or
tree branches accessorising the moon
Make some adjustments to the settings
Things start to look a bit more interesting...
We see craters!
Yayyyyyy!
Handheld, adjusting everything I can to get a better shot....
The result!
We'll see what tonight brings...
It's usually bigger and clearer (not that that's what I want... some clouds please...) the day after the full moon day
The 16th according to the Chinese lunar calendar
Happy Flower Moon, everyone!
