Taken from the Makapu'u Lighthouse Trail, this is a view overlooking the beautiful southeastern shoreline and Koko Crater.
I always find this view of the crater interesting, as you can make out the entirety of the cone. Even though the volcanoes that created Oahu are extinct, from here I can almost imagine lava flowing out of Koko Crater.
During the winter, you can usually find humpback whales along these shorelines as they begin their migration. It truly is a sight to be seen as they breach the waters.
Beautiful views and a great place for wildlife viewing, what more could you want?
