Today's 'Color Challenge for Steemians' as presented by is Wednesday Yellow.
And 'You See ~ I See' as presented by is the perfect format for me to be able to share these simple still life arrangements.
You See:
- Yellow freesias and irises in a glass of water.
I See:
A perfect space in the middle of the arrangement for the bluebells.
Vibrant complementary colors: Yellow and blue. Singing in harmony.
I See:
A perfect space for another bluebell.
Muted mauve freesias: Toning down the vibrancy ~ Just enough.
I See:
I wonder what a softer blue will look like with the yellow?
The Rosemary at the back looks too central and quite rigid. Needs to be softened? Perhaps add another small piece. Or perhaps re-position it little more to the right?
I See:
- The arrangement falling apart.
Freesias and Irises:
When you look at these images, what do you see now?
Your own love of flowers and color and the wonder of nature.
Your affinity with floral art? Or you mother's/partner's love for making simple arrangements with flowers?
You See ~ I See:
It's true that often an image, just by itself, can speak 'a thousand words.'
Yet to the artist/photographer, the same image can trigger memories of the surrounding 'atmosphere' at the time the image was created or captured.
If you like the idea of exercising your recall cells or stretching your imagination, the concept of 'You See ~ I See' will certainly appeal to you.
