Key West Island is located in the Straits of Florida on the border between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The city of Key West is the center of Monroe County, Florida. Key West is the southernmost city in the contiguous United States. The climate on the island is tropical with dry and wet seasons. The rainy season lasts from May to October.
