Was walking around my area and bump into this curious figure!
I now called these "corner guardians" as i seem to find them again and again walking around the streets of Tokyo.
This is not unusual as Japanese loves Anime and loves to keep them as mascots accompanying their daily lives.
These random elements scattered in the streets bring back that warm feeling of childhood memories, the sense of discovery , of novelty and familiarity at the same time. As much as they were created merely to fulfill a capitalist purpose they still preserve their innocence and charm that comes from the creative and artistic world.
If you spot any let me know or post a picture in the comment.
