I am very much excited to try out the newly acquired Leica IIIf film camera!!! Can't wait to load film and go shooting!!!
My copy of Leica IIIf was made in 1951.
I've bought it from a nice eBay seller that specialises in vintage camera gear. The service was fantastic, so if you come about the seller called classic_photography_uk he is pretty good!
As you can see from the picture, it is in awesome condition and the quality of the camera itself is second to none. A great quality German craftsmanship of the 50s!
A short history of this model - This rangefinder camera has been introduced around Christmas 1950 and was a very technologically advanced camera for its time. It was one of the first, if not the first camera in the world that introduced a flash sync setting at every shutter speed and was priced around $2500-$3500 in todays money depending on the lens that came with it.
I am hoping it would last me a lifetime and give me pleasure taking shots!
Cheers!
P.S. I have forgot to mention the first time that the camera is sitting on the original manual in German, printed in early 50s
