Considering that I am a big fan of cars and that I like to explore them in my spare time, I decided to visit the car museum in Belgrade, and explore what kind of historical examples there are there. The car world has always been fascinating for me, beginning with a period in which the creator of everything (in the world of cars) that exists today is Mr. Henry Ford and his first car, to modern cars and autonomous cars of the future. It was incredible to me that in the past, one man had the idea of making a car, and more importantly, to implement and proudly show his ingenious invention to everyone, who probably could not imagine such a complex circuit. I also want to say that I am a great fan of the old timer, not only because of their importance to today's world of cars, but also because of the elegant, sophisticated look. The car in the first picture is exactly an example of these elegant cars.
This is a Duesenberg J model from 1935 (Supercharged model), and belonged to a class of very luxury cars.
Otherwise, this car museum is one of the youngest museums in Serbia and is called "Modern garage", and the owner of this incredible collection of cars is Mr. Branislav Petkovic, who donated his entire collection to this museum. Owner Bratislav Petković owns a collection of about 100 cars, of which more than half is exhibited in the museum. The oldest car in the museum is "Marot Gardon" from 1897 and, unfortunately, I did not manage to photograph. The most interesting and the greatest gem of this museum is the F308 Ferrari, below I will tell you how the owner of the museum managed to buy this very rare model that was missing him in the collection. As usual, he went to car race. However, this was not a mere race, Giacomo Agostini drove the race, for those who do not know - the best driver of all time. He appeared in the new Ferrari F308, which has just appeared at the Paris Car Show in 1975, and this Ferrari immediately attracted attention to Branislav.
It all started like this.
The new Ferrari which just came out of the factory, was a design triumph of engineers and the successor of the legendary "Dino 246" model. The first series of 400 cars was immediately ejected, and the customers were waiting to buy this beauty, they did not pay attention about price of this car which was almost 85000 German marks. From that moment Branislav wanted this car more than anything else, and he did not even imagine that he would have it one day. Because of the desire to own it, he bought the Ferrari F308 toy, and he held it on his desk. It's been 20 years since then, and the Museum of Branislav collection has already been established when someone contacted Branislav and offered him to buy this model. This Ferrari was in very bad condition, which did not prevent Branislav from buying it, and investing a lot of effort and money to bring him in factory condition. As Branislav says, this car is still in perfect driving condition, it is regularly registered every year, and is currently one of the oldest registered cars in Serbia. This is perhaps the last model of Ferrari that is without any electronics on itself, a clean machine circuit with a powerful motor.
