This vermin being a kitten conceived to bite. I read somewhere that if the kitten bites, thrust her finger deeper into the mouth. Not only will she stop biting, she'll take you for her mother.
And it happened. Since then she does not bite me, pre-sniffing. On hands it is given only to me, and plays in a ball only with me. Such is the cat.
