It's just a harmless Garter Snake, no need to freak out. Unless, you just plain don't like snakes. It took a long time to finally get a full tongue whip snapshot while holding a phone. Not my best photography, but am pleased that I was able to get the taster as it lashed out! Here's a few more of the little fella.
