🔹 Image was taken during the summer, specifically in August. The falls can completely freeze during the winter 🔹
🔸 Total Height: 32 meters (105 feet) 🔸
🔹 An attempt was made to use the falls for hydroelectric power. The project was not successfully funded 🔹
🔸 The falls are part of the Golden Circle, a popular tourist route in Southwest Iceland 🔸

My original plan for my photography posts was to involve an embedded Google Maps window which would have provided some viewer interaction with the post. Unfortunately, the iframe for embedding Google Maps is unsupported on Steemit. Instead, I provided two screenshots, one at low Earth orbit elevation and the other at a near-surface aerial view.
