I hope that you enjoy these photos, and that you can at least get a glimpse of the life in these three beautiful places and their colorful people. I would also like to add that all these photos were taken under extreme duress (it's true and factual). My kids and the rest of the family (yes, even my dog) wanted nothing to do with me taking photos. I had to take most of these photos in drive by shooting style, or else I would have been left behind (true story as well, they are unnecessarily cruel).
All of these photos were taken quickly and while hearing all sorts of whining from the whole family (dog included). So please enjoy these photos, and remember that behind every shot, there's a whining kid asking, when are you going to be done?! LOL ;)
*Not these kids, these are nice kiddos that listen to their parents :D
Children helping their parents after school. The children help with anything they can while their parents work in the fields. Some make boxes, pack or sort vegetables, anything to be helpful and keep busy. The children were curious about me taking photos but not curious enough to smile for the camera š
;)
Local fishermen diving for sea urchins. Sea urchins are plentiful in La Bocana and Santo Tomas, and they are one of the main sources of income that the ocean has to offer.
Field worker getting a ride to work in Santo Tomas.
Father and his daughter singing Christian songs (another good listening kid).
Street performers playing music to those having tasty Mexican food at one of the local eateries in Ensenada.
Young man selling fish in Ensenada's famous black market.
Getting ready to take off. Tourist boat tours cost as little as $40 American dollars.
People walking down one of the main black market streets.
Hopelessly fishing, these two Tijuana natives were having better luck at catching a seaweed salad than fish, but hey, it's a good sport regardless ;)
Best leave the fishing to the professionals.
I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I didn't enjoy making it (kidding, I loved it!). This one will be a bit different from the rest, there's one more unrelated photo I would like to share with all of you...
My beautiful niece, who was a particular pain on the side, but is also a most beautiful and bright little model :) Love u silly! <3
*This is what happens when you give your aunt with a camera a hard time. You get into one of her blogs, ha!
