Church of the eighteenth century, began in 1710 and was completed in 1742, significantly damaged in the earthquake of October 15, 1782, an event that caused its closure. The reconstruction took from 1788 to 1807. From 1949 it has the title of Minor Basilica.

The watercolor is by anonymous author, in 1936, and its lithographic reproduction is by José Agustín Catalá in homage to the city of Guanare at its 400 years of foundation (1991). In the photo you can see some reflections of the protective glass of the lithography.
