I took these photos in Arizona over a community to demonstrate how it gets more difficult to see the milky way as you get closer to light pollution. Many communities in Arizona use special lights that only point down to help reduce light pollution. Some street lights only come on when they detection motion from cars on the road, all these solutions help to protect the dark sky and reduce energy costs.
