I can't help it. I'm a little weird sometimes when it comes to interpreting color prompts. This is my entry in 's contest Red on the Homestead.
We call her Whitey, but her papers say her name is Coups White Deception. She's one of our American Paint horses. We also have a Quarter and 3 ponies. Yes, despite living in Denmark, we have 4 of an American breed. And all but one of our horses and ponies red or red and white in color. Her papers call it Sorrel, but in common talk, she's red.
There is nothing she loves more than being used. Mostly she's just a trail horse, but I've started teaching her some basic ranch things. She can drag a post pretty well and she's slowly getting used to a lasso.
But I've not ridden in a while because of too much other stuff going on. Also they're now on rented summer pasture, so riding would require loading the car with tack and driving over. And Denmark is having a horrible heat wave. I'm not keen on making my animals work in weather so hot I can barely stand to do anything unless it really is essential. If we could use the beach this season and cool them down it would be different, but riding is forbidden there during the summer season.
