I have always wanted to visit the Flathead Valley of Montana. To witness the majestic Glacier National Park. To take in the beautiful crystal clear Flathead Lake. To enjoy the big sky of Big Sky country.
In June of 2015 my family and I did just that.
I had the privilege of having my Father-in-law Fred and my Mother-in-law Sandy join us on this trip. A trip that will forever be etched on my heart .... you see Fred passed away the following spring. This was the last big trip he had taken before he passed.
This is the first in a series of of memories from that trip.
Here are some shots of wild flowers taken along a trail in the South Lion Lake Picnic Area located in Flathead National Forest.
I don't know the what types of flowers they are, but they sure added color and joy to a short hike through the forest.
!
I hope you enjoyed !!
