Behind-the-scenes of The Map to Paradise

🇦🇶 This week we are exploring Antarctica 🇦🇶

Crossing the Drake Passage was one of the highlights of the trip. Two days at sea in the world's roughest ocean was a surreal experience. As soon as we left the Beagle Channel, we were met with a massive swell and doing anything besides lying down became a challenge. The first night whilst we ate our dinner, we remember watching our wine glasses sliding from left to right, right to left and then seeing a group of chairs all fly from one side of the room to the other.

It was a rough 24 hours, but as we approached the Antarctic Peninsula, the seas flattened. By the time we got our first early morning glimpses of the frozen continent, it was pretty much a lake.

These photos were our first glimpses of Antarctica and there is also one of Danielle, who was loving the icy climate.
