🇦🇶 This week we are exploring Antarctica 🇦🇶

Today, we are in Mikkelson Harbour at D'Hainaut Island.

Mikkelson Harbour was once used as a base for whaling. There are remnants of an old whaling vessel and the bones of blue whales that litter its shores.
🐋

Fortunately, today, after years of campaigning, whales swim freely and are protected around Antarctica.
🥳
