Let The Sun Shine In
Finally, Solar Panels Installed!
And so, it begins... We start with a bare roof, both sides, all morning on sun on one side, and afternoon until sunset, on the other.
I am very fortunate, at the top of the little rim, of a glacier kettle bowl, that the house is above the trees, and sun always (if it isn't cloudy) shining on the roof.

Add railings, for Panels to attach to...

While down below, the electricians install the Power Company switch, inverters, electronics for controlling and the internet server to allow both monitoring and control.

Close up of the panel, to be installed.

In progress, the panels going in.
After the whole install, the electrical inspector completed his inspection and signed off on it all. Then, the Installer has sent off all the required paperwork, to the local power company. After that, once the power company signs off on it, then, the power company will schedule an upgrade to our Grid connection, to be able to handle power going BACK into the gird. Once that's done, then, the solar company will be notified, and then, set up the online piece, for me to be able to go and monitor, and do some maintenance. As I understand it, I will see which panels are at what percent efficiency, what is producing what, when, at what time of day, etc. I will post an update, and let you know...

To the animals and birds around me
to put more plants in than I take out
And be a good steward for the world around me!
