Two images photographed this March in a nearby natural reserve with my "toy" lens.
I actually love it, but it looks so silly mounted on a Sony a7 body that I tend to use it mainly in places where I know there's not going to be many people around :p
These are pine tree flowers, and few weeks after they were releasing their yellow nasty pollen all over the place.

If by any chance you're thinking it's a nice thing to witness, think again :p
I used to work just few kilometers away from this area, at a golf course, and every summer we could see the clouds of pollen leaving the trees every time the wind was blowing a bit more intensively. Nasty nasty.
As a curiosity.. The height of these flowers will be what will determine also the height of the new shoots developed by each tree. After blooming they turn into stems and start developing young needles.

THAT SMALL GESTURE WILL MAKE A WHOLE LOT OF DIFFERENCE TO US!
