Tropical Pitcher Plant, or Nepenthes in Indonesian called Kantong Semar is a very complex and smooth insect catcher. The leaves grow out of the center of the plant, each with a thin tendril at the end and a pitcher-trap at the end of tendrils. Traps at the tip of the leaves vary greatly in color, shape, and size between many different species. Some traps can grow very large. For example, King Nepenthes has been known to grow large traps in the wild, capable of capturing small mammals - in fact, there are some cases of catching small monkeys.
Semar bags are very easy to grow. The fertile Semar bag will constantly produce more leaves, each with a trap at the tip of the leaf, and each trap may be bigger and more amazing than ever.
