The use of veils continues to cause polemics in several campuses in Indonesia. Uniquely, the polemic appears on Islamic campuses. The last case occurred in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. The Ministry of Religious Affairs to the Indonesian Ombudsman also took part in handling the case.
Regarding the veiled policy, the West Sumatra Provincial Government has chosen to surrender the matter fully to the head of the IAIN campus of Bukittinggi. Deputy Governor of West Sumatra, Nasrul Abit, said the veil should involve experts, namely the scholars of the scholars.
