I was riding my bike when I had this yellow foilage catch my eye. I stopped and turned around to go check it out. I was keeping an eye out for some baby sapling trees sprouting for Spring that I could bring home and Bonsai! I was hunting Red Maples in particular. Sometimes, they can appear similar to this when they begin to come to life.... so it was worth a look. I thought it was just the light passing through and highlighting the leaves that particular the time of day.
Upon closer inspection... this was no foliage at all, but rather budding flowers! I thought it was really cool to see these flowers springing off of the tree. Most of the flowers around here right now are popping up in grasses and near domestic gardens or close to tree bases. Only a few trees are flowering and not many have bright yellow flowers.
I was also fortunate enough to capture that snail in the middle of the shot too! There were actually three snails all gathered together. For the minimal amount of agility, snails have... they sure don't seem to fear heights at all! Go figure!?!
I took this photo with a Nikon CoolPix S4300. I hope this capture of beauty brings you as much pleasure as it does me!
Thank You For Taking the Time to Stop By!
