In 2012 I begin putting together a collection of photographs of old rural barns located in White County, Arkansas. My father was born in the area in 1936 and after he passed, I wanted to document the area he grew up in by taking photographs of my own.
I wanted to do some major post processing on the photos of the barns in order to add an artistic, exaggerated and abstract look because I had an idea of what feelings I wanted the old barns to conjure up. Here are just a few of the photos I took during that time...
