Ariadne's Thread is one of the first photos that I imagined before actually taking it.
Years ago, I was walking out of Leo Mol Sculpture Garden in Winnipeg, Canada, when the flower caught my eyes. I saw something in it that I couldn't put into words.
Unfortunately, there was a bee that was very protective of the flower. It chased me for about half an hour before finally giving up its spot.
This is still one of my favorite shots in my entire collection. I have a print of it hanging on one of my walls at home. :-)
