Todays photos I wanted to share with you are a bit older. I took them shortly after I got my first (and only) DSLR in January. I was up really early in the morning. I think it was around 5am and I just couldn't go back to sleep. I was thinking about hiking up the next mountain for some time, so I decided to dress and get out of the van. Of course I took my new camera with me to see what will end up infront of my lens.

Half way up to the mountain ridge I turned around to take some shots of the sun rising behind me. In the meantime a big cloud of fog floated up the valley to the right of me and started to cover the sun. It was such an amazing sight. The fog turned more and more red from one second to the other and I could see the sun like through one of these solar eclipse glasses.

A few minutes later the sun had fully risen and the color of the fog had changed to a milky yellow. I could only see a few meters far because now I was standing right inside the clouds. It was such a surreal atmosphere up there all alone.

Hope you have a nice day!
