I wanted to introduce the project I've been working on for a while. And some of the short listed images from my recent excursion in Catalunya.
I love to shoot film. But I also shoot video and therefore I have a pretty nice Sony set-up and Canon in the past with me wherever I go, so it would be a shame to waste their capabilities, and also film is still a relitively precious luxury in my photography career.
For a while now, I've been collection a series of images of normal everyday people or objects or animals around the world. I tend to swing the my camera at waste height, pre-focused manually on my vintage lens using the distance meters as a judgement, and the continuous shutter function on or I just click manually.
This allows for the capture of nice candid moments of life, and they can be pieced together giving you a little more to the story than a single photograph but not quite enough to dampen your imagination.
It's fun to shoot like this. You'll be pleasantly suprised by the results. And dont be worried about having a slow camera, I prefer to click manually on my Sony anyway and use the x3 shutter setting on Canon DSLRs., but the continous function will help you get started.
Hope you like these, let me know what ones you think should be cut or kept for my final publication. Will probably pick 1 or 2 images in the end.
Have a goodnight.
