An Australia sheep station needs to be rather large to support enough sheep to live from. The one in the pictures is 36000 acers large, which can support up to 6000 sheep. That is 6 acers per sheep !!!
The photos are showing a common Australian farm / sheep station in middle of the outback miles away from any shop.
On good days it takes you two hour to get to the nearest village.
On bad days (with rain) you are not able to get to the nearest town at all. Not an easy lifestyle but amazing.
