Today I will take you through one of the beautiful place of Indian state of Madhya Pradesh (M.P). This is a world famous mosque situated in the heart of the capital city Bhopal named as "Tajul Masajid". This is famous as the 3rd largest mosque in the world.
Nawab Shahjahan Begum conceived to built world's largest mosque near her palace in 1877. At that time her Treasury's position was not so sound. It's chief architect was Mr. Allarakha. This beautiful architecture attract visitors.
The mosque is placed on a high platform with a huge courtyard. The main entrance is 74 feet high.
The internal northern part was reserved for the veiled women for performing 'Namaz' on the western side is the prayer hall with nine entrance doors supported by pillars and roof with 27 hollow domes.
The pillars and walls have beautiful arabesque and floral designs. Every year an international 3 days IZTIMA held in the mosque where religious and technological discussion take place.
