Note: Please read my previous post for reference of market visit in Leh.
In this post I will share my journey from Delhi (India) to Nubra Valley (Leh-Ladakh).
Delhi to airport
It was a cloudy morning in delhi and I was so excited for my trip, my flight to Leh (India) was from delhi international airport at 6 AM, so I booked a uber cab from my home in new delhi to the airport, where I was to meet two of my friends at the airport who would accompany me on the trip.
From the airport we took the flight and we were too sleepy that one of my friend slept entire time when we were in flight.
We landed in Leh at 7:10 AM, it was almost one hour journey and the weather difference was soo much in Leh as compared to delhi that I was shivering (p.s: Mostly because I was wearing cut-sleave sando.) :P I pulled a jacket from my bag immediately as it was around 10°C in Leh and delhi was 30°C lol.
Leh airport to hotel
When we came out of the airport we saw a driver holding our names written on a piece of paper who was responsible to pickup from the airport and drop at the hotel.
On the way to the hotel the cab driver gave a few information like drink as much water as you can due to low level of oxygen and dehydration. That was very helpful of him.
We arrived at the hotel and rested for whole day
except we went to a cafe in Leh in the evening.
Hotel in Leh to Nubra valley
In the morning the bike agent came and he handed over two Royal Enfield bullet bikes along with the permit papers.
We started our journey from the hotel, on the way picking up two cans of petrol for each bike (The bikes were modified with an iron stand, to hold the extra fuel cans on the side)
The checkpost
The permit papers that the agent gave to us in the morning were to be shown at this checkpost on the way to Nubra valley, it was a 130 km beautiful scenic journey to the Nubra valley
where we had our Camps pre-booked for the stay in the night.
The Nubra valley
We arrived at the Nubra valley around 2:00 PM and we had enough time left to rest for one hour and then explore the place, we went inside our camps and rested there for one hour after that I did a little photography session of the valley and the mountains. It was so beautiful, I had this feeling of surrounded by the mountains in the middle, they were so huge and every mountains looks different from another in terms of size, shape and color.
In the night when we were camping, I had that feeling that I could actually touch the stars, they felt so close and bright and clear. In the cities there is so much pollution that you could barely see so many stars at a time like this and so clear. I was in heaven.
I will continue my journey from Nubra valley to Pangong Lake in the next post.
Thankyou for reading my post and viewing my photography.
