Getting stuck in traffic jam is no fun for sure and there is nothing beautiful in a bunch of cars that have stopped and are waiting to move on, just like you can see on the photo I've taken of a traffic jam... but there is a way to turn a boring everyday photo into an art, so let me show you how.
A few weeks ago I have introduced the Smartphone App Prisma and have shown you how it can turn an ordinary traffic jam photo into an interesting artsy composition and it does it automatically. Now is the time to introduce you to another similar application that can also turn an ordinary traffic jam or any other photo you take with your smartphone in an art, so welcome Lucid and I do recommend that you do give it a try.
What is the Lucid Application
Have you wondered what would feel like if a famous artist painted you? Lucid enables you to recreate your favorite photos into a magical artwork. Just pick a picture, then select a style of a famous painter and you'll have your personal masterpiece ready in just a few minutes.
By simulating the way the brain of an artist works, Lucid can paint anything you see into a compelling artwork. Being on the bleeding edge of neural network research, it pushes the technology to its limit. So it might take some time to get some pictures right, but be patient, for when it does - it's magical.
Lucid is available for Android and iOS-based devices, it is a free application, so you can download it and give it a try, do note however that it needs internet connectivity in order to upload and process the photos and then download the processed result.
And Now For the Results...
Here is the above boring traffic jam photo processed via many different styles with the help of the Lucid application, there are quite a few interesting results achieved. Some of the styles may be similar to what the Prisma app mentioned above, so do give it a try as well if you haven't. The Lucid App currently has a bit less artistic styles to choose from, but the results when using them might be better. So do experiment with different photos and different processing styles that the program provides, you have quite a lot of options to try.
