Driving through GoldStream we noticed the price of gas was zero, zilch, nada. Luckily we were stopping for a Timmy’s breakfast heading out fairly early, stopping in it wasn’t some kind of Christmas giveaway or something like I had thought.

The gas station has yet to be refilled since our winter storm, I can imagine BC Ferries to be several sailings backed up still. Speaking with a few friends and family there are many places still without power.

Luckily our friends house narrowly missed complete destruction, good thing they had already left to stay on SaltsSpring making the last sailing over. Much of SaltSpring trees made roads impassable many places facing being both treed in and without power well over Christmas.

Just a little thank you for all those working around the clock to remedy this terrible situation. We were luckily restored after 36 hours, I couldn’t imagine spending Christmas without the expected comforts associated with the occasion. Thanks you again for the continuous around the clock effort you guys are putting down, many still depend on you!
